Loading a new product
1. Log in to the backend of the InkPro website and navigate to “Products > Add New”
2. This will open up the page for you to load your new product. In the “Product Name” field you will capture the name of the product.
3. Once you have captured the name of your product, you can provide a detailed description of the product in the section directly under the product name. This will be displayed in the “Description” tab on the individual product page. If there is no additional information on the product I would recommend typing “There is no additional information available”
4. In the “General” section you will enter the price for the product as well as the product video link (if there is one available). Once the price and video URL has been added, navigate to the “inventory” tab (just under “General”) to add the product code / SKU. Please note that if this step is left out the product will not be published but saved as a draft.
5. The information that is entered in the block titled “Product Short Description” (section under product data) will be displayed under the Product Title and alongside the product image on the frontend.
6. Under the section titled “Product Categories”, it is important that you select whether the product falls under “InkPro” or “Appmovision”. This will determine its location on the site. You will also need to select all the other relevant categories that the product falls under. Please also note that if the product price is to be hidden from the public but needs to be displayed on the installers store, you must select the category “installers store” as well. 7. Once you have captured all the necessary information for the product, you will need to assign an image for the product. If you don’t have an image available, a default placeholder image will be assigned upon saving.
